Has Chart House been mean to you too?
This website is a free speech discussion of the Chart House restaurant chain. It is not affiliated with or sanctioned by the chain. It is not affiliated with or aimed at ChartHouse Int'l Learning, Chart House Lodge, or Chart House Mortgage, which seem like reputable organizations (reach them by clicking on their names). We hope this site might gently nudge these formerly lovely restaurants into improving their relations with the people and companies that come into contact with them. Their behavior has been so dishonorable and so lacking in civility lately that it is obvious that many are treated shabbily.E-mail your experiences, news, server stories, or tips.

Anti-company websites: CompanyEthics and Consumerama
Apparently, the current management of the chain under Tom Walters and Sam Zell has made a conscious break with the past. In search of profits, they are closing many locations where loyal, happy staff once served loyal, pleased customers. As you can see from visiting or the comments received, management cares little about the staff or diners, just a profitable solution. They seem to be abandoning the original concept of great food with great views, and, in desperation, are trying to convert to the Angelo and Maxie's formula. It seems like stepping out of character, of changing horses midstream, and abandoning roots. Soul-less managment leads to soul-less food and servers. Honor, dedication, and fun, once the hallmarks of Chart House, mean nothing here.
It is no wonder customer loyalty has evaporated. What do you think?
