Apparently, the current management
of the chain under Tom Walters and Sam Zell has made a conscious break
with the past. In search of profits, they are closing many locations where
loyal, happy staff once served loyal, pleased customers. As you can see
from visiting or the comments received, management cares little about the
staff or diners, just a profitable solution. They seem to be abandoning
the original concept of great food with great views, and, in desperation,
are trying to convert to the Angelo and Maxie's formula. It seems like
stepping out of character, of changing horses midstream, and abandoning
roots. Soul-less managment leads to soul-less food and servers. Honor,
dedication, and fun, once the hallmarks of Chart House, mean nothing here.
It is no wonder customer loyalty
has evaporated. What
